Dear All,

Please read all of the information below before completing the registration form.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Every year player/spectators will sign a Code of Conduct. Please make sure these are read, understood and adhered to.

Players’ behaviour is something I am urging coaches to clamp down on in training. Failure to behave appropriately will result in less game time and, in extreme situations, players could be left out of a match. In the worst case scenario, they will be removed from the club and this also goes for parents and spectators.

Although our parents on the whole are very respectful, we still have occasions where coaches and referees are being shouted at. This is unacceptable and could result in families being asked not to attend games or training.

GAME AND MATCH DAY CANCELLATIONS

Our club secretary (Ilbert) works throughout the week to ensure that fixtures or cancellations, which are highlighted early enough, are catered for on match days. Home pitches are booked, so cancellations due to oppositions pulling out allows us to host training sessions. However, away games are difficult as we do not have any control of facilities or oppositions. We do not own our facilities and book pitches at the start of the week for home fixtures to avoid them being fully booked. We cannot book pitches for a team that has an away fixture because this will incur a cost every week, which would ultimately increase subscription fees substantially. Therefore, we do not host training on a cancelled away fixture as there is no availability to book a pitch so last minute.

Additionally, training sessions at weekends are just as important as the games, and we expect all available players to attend. It is important that we have a minimum of 5 players available (especially for our 9 & 11 aside teams) for training to go ahead, or training will be cancelled. We will always try to merge two age groups together if possible.

We are currently looking for Club sponsorships.

For example: sponsoring a player, sponsoring a kit for a player, sponsoring the club or even an individual team.

Our bursary programme gives talented players in Southwest London the opportunity to play competitive football, and train in a professional environment, on a weekly basis with either a full or partial bursary. The only thing we are asking for is full commitment! We will support them in their footballing journey and give them the opportunities to excel and maximise their full potential. Currently, we have 33 players on bursaries, and we would like to increase it by 30% for next season through our school program, which will allow us to work closely with local schools to ensure that players are given the same opportunities as their peers. We have had some players go on to receive Sports Scholarships, be signed for football academies or, as some of our longer standing parents will notice, they go on to work at BHFC on our coaches’ program. Your amazing generosity helps these players achieve their GOALS in the sport that they love.

These bursaries are currently 95% funded by BHFC with the additional 5% funded by the kindness of some of our players’ parents. With your additional help, we would love to be able to continue to grant these bursaries and go on to develop more players both on and off the pitch. However, current increases in running costs that the club is facing, means that it is becoming harder to allocate the funds to these bursaries, without impacting the longevity and high standards. With your help, we can continue to provide the best possible programmes for every player.

If you would like to enquire about sponsoring a player or the club, please contact us on: info@bhfcbattersea.co.uk.

Alternatively, you can sponsor a player when completing your online registration form below.

League

We play in London Saturday Youth League & Surrey Youth League (Sundays).

We do not run either leagues and each year we pay to enter, so any issues with the league are dealt with by Hasib or Ilbert.

Each week we are given fixtures by the leagues, so we have no initial control on when they are sent to us. As soon as we receive them we notify you.

Oppositions like ourselves are independent organisations/groups/clubs. Therefore, if there are any issues with their coaches, officials or parents, in the first instance please inform your coach in the moment and try to obtain as much information as possible (i.e. name, date, coach name, referee name and any relevant information). Then contact us as soon as possible to allow us to deal with any issues accordingly.

Coaches

We make sure Coaches are working with the correct age group to get the best out of them. Please make sure you raise any concerns or complaints regarding your coaches by emailing hasib@bhfcbattersea.co.uk , as it is vital that the coaches are complying with our expectations for high standards.
